Key Accounts Manager Edenvale Johannesburg

Our Retail/FMCG client in Edenvale Johannesburg is looking for a Key Accounts Manager responsible for managing and growing strategic relationships with major retail customers (e.g., Shoprite/Checkers, Pick n Pay, SPAR, Woolworths, Massmart/Game, Dis-Chem, Clicks). You must have category management experience

Salary plus excellent benefits.

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Sales, or a related field ADDED BONUS BUT NOT A MUST

5+ years of key accounts/national accounts experience in the FMCG sector.

Category Management experience

Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle.

Category management certification

Responsibilities

Account Management - Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with assigned key retail accounts.

Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and the retailer.

Negotiate annual trading terms, promotional plans, listings, and pricing agreements.

Sales & Revenue Growth - Achieve agreed sales volume, value, and profitability targets

Trade Marketing & Promotions - Plan, execute, and evaluate promotional activities (leaflets, in-store activations, gondola ends, co-op advertising).

Category Management - Analyse category performance, market trends, and shopper insights using Nielsen, IRI, or retailer data.

Forecasting & Reporting - Prepare accurate monthly sales forecasts and manage stock levels with supply chain.
